The Day is an online platform publishing daily news to help inspire pupils to become critical thinkers and better citizens by engaging their natural curiosity in real-world problems. By subscribing as a member of The Day, international schools around the world gain full access to daily news stories, features, quizzes, videos, assemblies, polls and more to help engage their students in inquiry-lead learning, current affairs and world issues.  

Previously split into two websites for primary and secondary students, The Day re-launched in September 2021 as one site catering for young people from age 5 right up to 19, with five differentiated reading levels making the news accessible for all abilities. 
 

Why the international schools market is important to The Day
Our mission is to work towards a world where young people everywhere learn how to ask good questions, debate the issues, listen to others and develop a powerful voice in shaping a better future. International schools are important to us as they help in delivering this mission across the globe, proving a window to the world for their students and developing their cultural capital. International schools’ pupils help make up the world citizens of tomorrow, and by using The Day in their classrooms, teachers are helping them develop critical thinking skills, self-confidence and personal empowerment. Some international schools are particularly isolated or remote, and we help provide a useful bridge to global knowledge.    

Working with ISC Research
