I’m an academic by trade. I’ve travelled the well-trodden path of a young intellectual: exciting doctoral research, a slightly underwhelming post-doc and, along the way (and retrieving some of that earlier excitement), collaborating with academic colleagues through research consultancy. Somewhere along the journey I entered a road less travelled, writing my own map and making my own way as a freelance writer. I continue to write and publish on the sociology of contemporary life.
My PhD is in Sociology from Loughborough University and my Postdoctoral Research took place at Reading University.
I joined ISC Research in 2015. I’m a Senior Report Writer and am nestled neatly in the Reports Team, contributing to various elements of report production. This role encourages me to draw on and develop an analytical sensibility.
