Role
The Research Executive is an entry-level research professional joining the Field Research team at ISC Research. The post holder will initially support Senior Research Managers and the Head of Insights across a range of regional research activities, building the skills, knowledge and confidence to gradually take ownership of their own assigned region over time.
The role offers an excellent foundation for a career in market research, with hands-on experience conducting school interviews, carrying out desktop and secondary research, and contributing to the market intelligence reports of ISC Research’s product suite.
Our Field Research team are the ‘face’ of the company and take a lead role in developing and fostering the relationships we have within the international schools market.
The role is based from home and connecting with colleagues globally via Teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct professional, well-organised school visits to collect key data and intelligence from international school Senior Leaders, via remote interviews and desktop research.
- Carry out desktop and secondary research to support the production of market intelligence reports across assigned regions.
- Contribute to the writing of market intelligence reports, working under guidance from the Senior Research Managers and the Head of Insights.
- Support the arrangement and collation of findings from interviews and focus groups around trends impacting international schools.
- Send GSI data to the DBR team for upload to ISC Research’s database.
- Develop a working knowledge of the international schools market, building towards independent management of an assigned region over time.
Essential Key Skills
- A strong knowledge of international schools in your region, with the ability to switch to other areas as required.
- A degree in any discipline, with prior experience in research, education or a related field.
- Strong written English with the ability to produce clear, precise prose and relay gathered intelligence in a way that can be used commercially.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Enthusiastic, natural team player, with the ability to work cross-functional, virtual and diverse teams to drive a positive result.
- Strong data validation and interpretation skills, with the ability to analyse information and communicate findings clearly.
- Proactive, curious and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in business requirements, with an understanding of remote working.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the international schools market or background in the Education sector.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.
- Experience conducting interviews or qualitative research.
