Janelle Torres, Research Manager – South East Asia at ISC Research will lead a panel of experts discussing the challenges of EAL in international education, each bringing their unique perspectives on how they tackle the shifting student demographics. Our expert panel features:

Gemma Donovan, Head of Whole School EAL at South View School Dubai 

Gemma Donovan is a passionate international educator and consultant with over 20 years of experience in Italy, the UK, Hong Kong, and the UAE. She holds an MA in TESOL and various pedagogical and leadership qualifications including the NPQSL. As Head of Whole School EAL, she is dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments that empower all students to thrive in linguistically diverse classrooms.  

Jacob Huckle, Head of Multilingual Learning at Dulwich College Suzhou

Jacob Huckle is Head of Multilingual Learning & Language Development at Dulwich College Suzhou. He teaches EAL, English Language Acquisition, and Theory of Knowledge. He researches multilingualism and interculturality in international schools as part of his doctoral studies.
