Celebrating excellence: the 2024 International School Awards

Oct 3, 2023 | Good practice

As the year unfolds and educators around the world embark on a journey of excellence, the judging process for the 2024 International School Awards draws to a close. The International School Awards (ISAs) stand as a beacon of innovation, transformation, and the collective pursuit of educational distinction. With the ISA announcement in January 2024 rapidly approaching, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us in the lively discussions surrounding the remarkable school initiatives submitted for consideration.

A holistic approach to recognising excellence

In preparation for 2024, the International School Awards embarked on a transformative journey this year, shifting from multiple isolated awards categories towards a holistic evaluation of the submitted initiatives. These initiatives are grounded in foundations of multicultural understanding, diversity, equity, inclusion and justice, as well as the incorporation of various United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In a novel approach, applications have been assessed within tuition fee brackets, providing each school with an equitable opportunity to shine based on their expectations and budgetary capabilities. This new format allows us to recognise and celebrate achievement across all aspects of education, from cultural inclusivity to contributions driving sustainability.

Each initiative not only embodies these fundamental values, but also serves as a central pillar in the school’s ongoing journey of improvement and innovation. You can learn more about the new format of the 2024 International School Awards here .
